This summer, join us for Last Best Comedy’s “Kit Comedy Camp.” Kit Comedy offers children an immersive introduction to the world of performance. Throughout the camp, kids will learn about teamwork, improv skills, and gain confidence on stage—all while having fun with new friends! The camp spans four weeks, with each week dedicated to a different comedy discipline. With flexible enrollment options, parents can choose to enroll their students in the full four weeks or any of the individual weeks. Each week concludes with a showcase, giving students the chance to shine on stage at Last Best Comedy. Join us for a summer filled with laughter and learning at “Kit Comedy Camp!"

Week 1: Short Form Improv

Dive into the realm of spontaneous creativity! Throughout Week 1, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of improv. They will learn short form improv games to develop their comedy instincts and teamwork. At the end of the week, students will showcase their newfound abilities in a short form showcase, akin to LBC’s Whiz Bang.

Week 2: Musical Improv

Focus on the fundamentals of music in Week 2. Students will learn to lose themselves in the rhythm and gain confidence in their musical instincts. They will discover how to create spontaneous melodies and lyrics, using improvisation as a foundation for songwriting. Students will demonstrate their newfound skills in a musical showcase at LBC at the end of the week.


Week 3: Stand-Up

Immerse yourself in the world of stand-up! Week 3 is dedicated to teaching students the fundamentals of finding their voice, developing material, and delivering jokes on stage. At the end of the week, each student will showcase 5 minutes of original material on stage at LBC.

Week 4: Sketch Comedy

Students will delve into the fundamentals of improv and master the art of refining improvised moments into rehearsed sketches during Week 4. They will learn the basics of crafting interesting and hilarious scenes and showcase their original sketches on stage at LBC.

Flexible Enrollment Options:

Whether your child is interested in a specific aspect of comedy or wants the full experience, “Kit Comedy Camp” offers flexibility. Enroll in any individual week separately, or embark on a laughter-filled journey by enrolling in all four weeks!

Showcase for Parents and Friends:

At the end of each week, parents and friends are invited to a special showcase at Last Best Comedy. Watch the campers shine on stage as they share what they’ve learned and created throughout the week.

Age Group: Open to kids from 4th to 8th grade.

Time: 8:30 am drop off and the camp runs 9 am to 2 pm Monday - Friday

Cost: $900 for a full session / $295 for one week

Full refunds available until April 1st, 2024 / 50% refund available until 1 month before start date, after that date, all sales are final.

No Experience Needed:

“Kit Comedy Camp” is open to all levels of experience. No prior theater or comedy background is necessary – just a willingness to explore, learn, and, most importantly, have fun! Join us for a summer of laughter and learning, at “Kit Comedy Camp” – where comedy takes center stage!
