Kit Comedy Camp offers children an immersive introduction to the world of comedic performance. Throughout the camp, kids will learn how to work as a team, gain stage confidence and produce their own shows—all while having fun with new friends! We offer three different weeks focusing on three core comedy disciplines.  With flexible enrollment options, parents can choose to enroll their kiddos in the full 3 weeks or any of the individual weeks. Each week concludes with a showcase, giving students the chance to shine on stage at Last Best Comedy. Join us for a summer filled with laughter and learning at “Kit Comedy Camp!"

SESSION 3 - Art & Improv (a collaboration w/ Tinworks)


Improv Comedy Week

Dive into the realm of spontaneous creativity! Throughout this week, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of improv. They will learn short form improv games to develop their comedy instincts and teamwork. At the end of the week, students will showcase their newfound abilities in an improv showcase, akin to LBC’s Whiz Bang or Whose Line is it Anyway!  This week will consist of improv basic foundations, scene play, game structure, team building, stage presence and shows! 

Sketch Comedy Week

Students will delve into the fundamentals of improv and master the art of refining improvised moments into rehearsed sketches. They will become a team and  learn the basics of crafting interesting and hilarious scenes. Then through practice and collaboration, showcase & perform their original sketches on stage at LBC. Bozeman Kids Live! This week consists of Improv to sketch basics, storytelling, basics of a story arc, learning the different elements of sketch writing, impressions, template writing, production and performance!


Stand-Up Comedy Week

Immerse yourself in the world of stand-up! This week is dedicated to teaching students the fundamentals of finding their voice, developing material, and delivering jokes on stage. At the end of the week, each student will showcase 5 minutes of original material on stage at LBC. This week consists of storytelling, joke structure, stage presence, mic work and crowd work.

Art & Improv (in collaboration w/ Tinworks)

Expand your child’s creativity with Tinworks Art and Last Best Comedy as they team up to embrace the possibilities of play, experimentation, and spontaneity in the arts and performance! Campers will learn to observe and be present, channel intuition and brainstorming, give up control and utilize opportunity, and explore possibility through improvisational exercises and artistic practices. Over this week students will observe the Tinworks 2026 exhibition, engage in discussion, and create multiple projects to take home. This session will culminate in an art showcase for families and guardians to celebrate their child’s creations and new skills. This camp is open to students 6th grade in fall and older, Monday through Friday, 9am–3pm at Tinworks Art, August 17–21. Registration opens February 1, sixteen campers max per session.

Flexible Enrollment Options:

Whether your child is interested in a specific aspect of comedy or wants the full experience, “Kit Comedy Camp” offers flexibility. Enroll in any individual week separately, or embark on a laughter-filled journey by enrolling in all 3 weeks! *Due to summer travel schedules we do not offer a "full session enrollment" option for the July campers.

Showcase for Parents & Friends:

At the conclusion of each week parents and friends are invited to a special showcase at Last Best Comedy to watch the campers shine on stage as they share what they've learned and created throughout the week. This showcase will be held at 3pm each Friday!

Age Group:  Campers must be at least 10 years old to participate.

Time: 8:30 am drop off and the camp runs 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday - Friday

Cost: $785 for a full session OR $295 for one week

No Experience Needed:

“Kit Comedy Camp” is open to all levels of experience. No prior theater or comedy background is necessary – just a willingness to explore, learn, and, most importantly, have fun! Join us for a summer of laughter and learning, at “Kit Comedy Camp” – where comedy takes center stage!

SAMPLE DAY: 

8:30-9am: DROP OFF

9am-9:30 WARM UPS & Group Meet

9:30-10:30 : LESSON 1

10:30am - 11:am: SNACK and Walk to Park with LUNCH 

11:00-1145: Outdoor Lesson at Amphitheater at Bogart Park

12pm-1245 FREE TIME AND LUNCH at Park

1245pm-115pm Walk back to LBC - Ice Cream Stop!

1:15-2pm Lesson 3

2pm-3pm - Class Daily review and class performances!

Once a week students will do a POOL afternoon! 

Class will get outside at least once per day but timing is affected by weather! We recommend bringing a few dollars spending money each day as well for ice cream or treats stops!
